The Information Network Security Agency has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation

Information Network Security Agency (EMDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) to conduct consultative work on the construction of a secure data center. Yidnekatew Worku, Deputy Director General of EMDA, who was present at the signing ceremony, praised the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation's efforts to modernize itself and reaffirmed the agency's commitment to consult.

He said the agency is working hard to prevent and control cyber-attacks on financial institutions.Mengistu Meharu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation, on his part said the IMDE has significant experience in the sector and will benefit from our efforts to build a secure data center.

 

In particular, he said, the data center to be built by the institute will not only make it more secure but also enable greater knowledge transfer.The consultation will last from one year to six months and will continue from the construction of the data center to the security checkpoint.
